Costume and Makeup Design

As a costume designer and cosplayer, I am fascinated by how costume communicates character, and I am driven by a whimsical, innovative aesthetic. I believe that the character needs to be strongly expressed, and in the fantasy genre, in which I’ve primarily designed, that anything is possible. I seek to repurpose and recycle clothing items, or even costume with items not typically used as clothing.

Accomplishments:
I costumed 132 children in the Hippodrome Theatre’s Summer Spectacular for productions of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach.

I was Assistant Costume Designer for the southeastern premiere of “The ‘Simpsons’ Play,” Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play. I designed and built Itchy’s and Scratchy’s costumes.

I was Costume Designer for the world premiere of the original play The Peppermint King.
